Serving Trays and Charcuterie Boards

Live edge, quality wood

Live edge wood boards are a popular serving tray option that add a level of sophistication yet rustic style to your kitchen. I also have a collection of antique drawer pulls that serve as beautiful handles to complement the wood.

Charcuterie board vs. serving tray

If you chose a charcuterie board, I will finish the wood with food safe oil. As a result, I cannot add any colour to the design due to the likelihood the paint would fade or bleed over time. However, this allows the pyrography details to stand out in a subtle yet beautiful way. Over time, and with several uses, it may require some re-hydration with another layer of oil or food-safe conditioner.

If you chose a serving tray, I will finish the wood with several layers of varathane. This protects the wood and design, thus allowing me to add colour if you so desire. I do not recommend that it be used as a charcuterie board in the traditional sense unless the food is placed on dishes or napkins.
